Best spots for the proposal
On the Costa Daurada there are a handful of spots that feel made for a marriage proposal at sunset. My favourites as a backdrop for the big moment and the couple photoshoot afterwards:
The white lighthouse on the cliffs, surrounded by pines and open sea, is quiet and away from the crowds. As the sun sinks into the Mediterranean it creates an intimate, almost cinematic setting — the perfect place to get down on one knee.
A small fine-sand cove between limestone cliffs next to the lighthouse. At sunset the sun bathes the sea in gold and red tones — a sheltered, romantic frame for a proposal just for the two of you, far from the bustle.
The best viewpoint for sunsets on the coast, with a panoramic view over the Golf de Sant Jordi. The sun drops straight onto the sea — spectacular backlight and silhouettes, ideal for the moment of the yes.
The famous balustrade high above the sea, in the heart of Tarragona. With a wide view over the Mediterranean and warm evening light, it's an elegant, very romantic stage for a proposal with city and sea views.
The Roman amphitheatre by the sea, part of the UNESCO World Heritage. The thousand-year-old stones against the glowing Mediterranean create a timeless, striking backdrop for a proposal steeped in history.
700 m of fine sand where the gold of the beach meets a pine forest — a wide, natural backdrop of sea and woodland with no buildings. As the sun goes down it's an open, calm place for a proposal by the water.
Best time for the proposal: 1–2 hours before sunset. At Cap de Salou, the Mirador Porroig and the Balcó del Mediterrani in Tarragona, warm golden light then falls over the sea — perfect for the big moment and the pictures afterwards.

We agree in advance on an exact location, a time and a small signal. At the agreed time I am already positioned at a distance with a telephoto lens, so I look like an ordinary tourist and no one notices me. That way I capture the moment of the proposal and the genuine reaction without giving away the surprise.
My favourites are the Far de Cap Salou with its white lighthouse, the Mirador Punta de Porroig as the best sunset point on the coast, and the Balcó del Mediterrani in Tarragona with its panoramic sea view. The Cala de la Penya Tallada, the Roman amphitheatre of Tarragona and Platja Llarga also make a very romantic backdrop.
Just message me on WhatsApp. We discuss the date, the location and your plan for the proposal, then I reserve the slot for you. On the day I first capture the proposal moment and afterwards do a short couple photoshoot at sunset.
The session runs in English, Spanish or Italian — especially for a moment as special as this, I explain everything calmly in English so that it all goes smoothly. You feel relaxed from the very start.
